about

Inspired by a quote I saw on facebook, "Don't despise your tears; they sow into your future." Made me think, what if my life is a garden, and my tears water it and make it become beautiful? Sometimes you have to keep on forgiving people over and over, way after the deed was done, but the tears help us forgive and process and move on and then they heal us. Hurrah for the occasional weep!

lyrics

Cry your tears, don’t despise
Or hide your fears, don’t you lie to yourself
Maybe he said sorry, promise that he’ll learn
Maybe he won’t know all the ways in which you’re hurt
You feel like you’ve no right to continue feeling burned
But cry your tears and let it all come out
Waterfalls of beauty raining down

I can feel it, I can hear it
I can see your garden grow
Blooming in colour, bursting with what the future holds
Everything’s changing, everything’s moving
I’m starting to see it all unfold
You were the one whose eyes kept it watered into the seeds you sowed
Like a waterfall. Oh oh oh, Let it go again

You think you’ve forgiven the things that he did wrong
But it keeps coming back like a haunting ghost returns
You find another layer just when you think you’re done
Wonder if the memories will run out
Hoping you’ll be better off somehow

Like a waterfall.... Let it flow....
